James Micah Key hails from Austin, Texas and currently resides in Harlem. A spontaneous, emotion-driven painter, Key attributes his inspiration to an overconsumption of Dr. Seuss books as a child. While in law school, art provided an escape and Key delved into the world of watercolors. With over forty watercolors available to date, he is in the midst of making his artwork available for sale and show. When not creating art, James M. Key may be found playing poker professionally, donning a suit in the corporate legal world, and immersing himself in books about travel writing, history, and maritime adventures. He enjoys Brooklyn Brewery Chocolate Stout Beer and dipping Ghirardelli chocolates into peanut butter.
